From Tree to Table
ENG: From Tree to Table is a short and interactive 2-hour workshop for students aged 12 to 15. It introduces the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of wood products using engaging visuals, hands-on activities, and teamwork.
Students explore how wood moves from forest to table, how different materials have different environmental impacts, and how smart design can reduce harm to the planet. By using eco points, strength scores, and creativity, teams will build model tables and present their choices.
GER: „Vom Baum auf den Tisch“ ist ein kurzer, interaktiver zweistündiger Workshop für Schüler im Alter von 12 bis 15 Jahren. Er vermittelt anhand anschaulicher Bilder, praktischer Aktivitäten und Teamarbeit Kenntnisse über die Ökobilanz (LCA) von Holzprodukten.
Die Schüler erkunden, wie Holz vom Wald auf den Tisch gelangt, wie verschiedene Materialien unterschiedliche Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt haben und wie intelligentes Design die Belastung für den Planeten verringern kann. Mithilfe von Ökopunkten, Stärkepunkten und Kreativität bauen die Teams Modelltische und präsentieren ihre Entscheidungen.
ITA: Da albero a tavola è un breve workshop interattivo della durata di due ore rivolto a studenti dai 12 ai 15 anni. Il workshop introduce il Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) dei prodotti in legno utilizzando immagini accattivanti, attività pratiche e lavoro di squadra.
Gli studenti scoprono come il legno passa dalla foresta alla tavola, come materiali diversi abbiano impatti ambientali diversi e come un design intelligente possa ridurre i danni al pianeta. Utilizzando eco-punti, punteggi di resistenza e creatività, i team costruiranno tavoli in miniatura e presenteranno le loro scelte.
